7 ways to tell if a clothing is high-quality.

It is crucial to pick clothing of good quality that can endure use and repeated washings when assembling a basic wardrobe with timeless pieces that can be worn on different occasions.

But how can you spot them? How can you tell if the item you wish to buy is worthwhile? Pay attention to these straightforward tips:

Expose the clothing to the light. The quality of a fabric decreases with transparency.

The test for wrinkles. Squeeze the fabric for a brief period of time before releasing it. If the garment is still wrinkled, it is preferable to leave it (unless it is linen).

Keep an eye out for zippers. A hidden, expertly completed zipper that matches the color of the fabric can be found on high-quality clothing.

Examine the seams. Look at how the hems, cuffs, and collars are finished. The seam should be as tight as possible.

Examine the labels. Examine the fabric’s composition. Natural fibers like cotton, wool, and silk should make up a larger portion of the fabric than synthetic fibers.

Verify the buttonholes and buttons. It is not a good indicator if they are sloppy or the seams are not neat.

If the cost is too low, be wary. Due to the quality of the materials used to make the garment, it is typically more expensive.
